Snail Mail

I was inspired by the way Annabel colored Belated Birthday Snails with all the texture that I knew I had to try.  So I picked up Snail Mail rubber stamp by Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  However, instead of using pencils, I gave it a go with markers so my details isn't as controlled.  But hay, he turned out okie dokie in my book.

I didn't really have a good sentiment that I liked so I used the background decorative paper and wrote in my own. It's a word search paper and I used a black pen to write in my sentiment and blue to circle it.  After all... I found it!

These are the Copic markers used on Snail Mail:

R05, 46, 59, BV23
E41, 42, 43, 49
C0, 3, 5, W9
Y11, 35, YR15, 21, 24, E31, 33, 35
B000, 45, 39, 93
G28, YG63, 21

Upon a Star

I'm working on background and this is another technique I've tried out.  I smudged Distress Ink on a non-stick craft mat and then pressed the paper into the ink. I think it's suppose to blend and mix up but this particular paper soaked it up immediately. I repeated a couple times then realizing it wasn't going to do what I wanted, I sponged around the outside with black soot and called it quits.

Here are the Copic marks I used on Upon a Star:

E13, 09, 08, 0000
W8, 0
C5, 3, 0
Y11, 26

I also used the glow in the dark embossing powder, also from Lawn Fawn.

Heart Throb Kit

Here's another card I created with the Heart Throb Kit from Queen & Company. I got the card layout and idea from the Queen & Company site.  Thanks for the inspiration!

Birthday Memories - Raccoon

I've used the Birthday Memories designer series papers from Stampin' Up! to create this project and followed a card idea by Carolyn King.  I also used some Make it Crafty chipboard embellishments for the sentiment and gems for sparkle. She has some other great layouts on her blog too.

Farmhouse Shiplap Background

For my project I used and colored the Farmhouse Shiplap Background from Whimsy Stamps. I wanted to go for a re-purposed look so I colored the planks different shades of gray, brown and even one or two of them blue. I also added seams with nails.  I thought the background was good enough for a card so I skipped coloring a character to put on top of it.  I simply added a few odds and ends to create this fun maze card.

Here are the Copic markers I used:

W2, 3, 4, 6
E00, 31, 35, 43
E42, 43, 44
B91, W6, 4, 3
T4, 3, 1
C8, 7, 3
0.2 Multiliner and white gel pen

Out of This World

Here's another galaxy background I tried out and this one uses Distress Inks and the round sponge. Thank you to Chrissy (Chrissyd723) for pointing me to the YouTube tutorial.  This technique was less frustrating than the watercolor but it was significantly more time consuming.  However, either one, I liked the results.

These are the Copic markers I used on Out of This World:

E30, 31, 37
YG17, 23
BG45, 11
Y35, 11
V20, 25
YR09, 12, Y32
R17, 46
C0, 3, 7
W7, 5, 2

This is a card idea by Chari Moss which is featured in the Lawn Fawn store gallery.
